The mountain centre isn’t like all the other outdoor shops. It’s smaller, for a start, much more enthusiastic and has more dogs in it. It still manages to fit in a wide range of running, walking, camping, climbing and generally messing about in the countryside gear, from the cheap and cheerful up to the highly technical and not very cheap at all:
We’ve only uploaded a tiny fraction of our range to this site. That’s partly because it’s very dull work when we could be out playing in the drizzle, but it’s mostly because we’re trying to make the listings useful and not just recycle press releases like everyone else does. If you look at fell shoes or sleeping bags or anything else here you’ll find honest assessments from people who actually use the gear, and who care about whether it works or not because if it doesn’t they’re going to get very cold or fall over.
